This half term our topic has been 'I'm Alive!'. We have been very busy and have had lots of fun. Our school also turned 50 years old which called for lots of celebrations including: a 1960s dress up day, 1960s playground games and a time capsule burial!
In science we have been learning all about animals including humans. We discovered that to survive, humans and animals require: water, food and oxygen. We also learnt about the different ways to keep healthy, including eating a balanced diet, making sure we exercise and keeping ourselves clean.
During our history lessons we have been researching information about Florence Nightingale. Did you know, it was Florence Nightingale who opened the first nursing college? We have enjoyed ordering key events in Florence's life and writing a diary as if we were Florence herself.
We look forward to our next topic, which is 'The North Pole'.
