We had a very exciting Spring term. The children in Fox class learnt all about Grand Union Canal and one of the inventors of canals, James Brindley and we even had a trip to the canal to see the locks. We discussed the human features of the canal and compared them to the physical features of a river.
In Art we explored different forms of painting, including blending, smudging and overlaying. We looked at the works of art by John Piper and attempted to recreate his style of painting in our own pictures of the canal.
We will continue to promote leading active lifestyles and making healthy choices through our weekly P.E. lessons and Forest school, coached tennis sessions and class runs.
We look forward to sharing our learning with you, especially our eagerly anticipated P.E and Music focus week at the end of the half term.
Please check this page at the end of the half term to see what we have been up to.
