The children in Fox class have had an extremely busy but exciting term.
As part of their topic ‘Winter Wonderland’, they learnt all about Lapland and how it compares to London. They explored maps and atlases to try and find out where Lapland is and learnt that it is in Finland. They then carried out research on iPads and non-fiction books to discover more information about Finland. We particularly enjoyed finding out about the Northern Lights (which inspired our calendar designs!).
During our Christmas celebrations we went to St Luke's Church, where we were lucky enough to perform the Christmas Story narrated by Rev. Dave Middlebrook. The children dressed up in costumes and acted out each scene.
They had lots of fun performing to their parents and loved singing our class song.
At the end of the term the children (and parents) took part in a 'Deco Day'. We spent the day creating decorations for the school. Our favourite decorations were paper plate angels and salt dough baubles!
The topic for the Spring term is ‘London’ and we look forward to sharing our learning with you.
