As part of our action plan, members of the Eco-Council suggested that we could put posters up around school to remind people to try and save energy and to not waste water. The children decided to run a competition to design a poster and told the whole school about it in an assembly.

DESIGN A POSTER COMPETITION

Task: Using the blank template provided, design a poster to remind children and adults around school to be more environmentally aware with regards to energy and water e.g. turn off taps, switch off lights, keep classroom doors closed at playtime, switch off monitors / laptops when not in use

Age group: Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2

Winners: x3 winners will be selected from each age category; their designs will be turned into colour posters which will be displayed around school and on our school website

Closing date: FRIDAY 31st JANUARY 9am. Please give all competition entries to class teachers

Members of the Eco-Council met on Friday 31st January to select the winners of the poster competition; first we short-listed, & then we voted on the final 3 winners for each Yr Group.
